Who is behind Amena?

My name is Mariana, and I am the founder of AMENA.

I have always been drawn to creating clothing, textile design, and illustration. Sewing and creating have long been a natural form of expression for me.

About My Dream

Having my own atelier was always a quiet dream of mine.

Before it existed, my home became a small workspace filled with fabrics, sketches, and inspiration. Many nights were spent imagining what my future atelier would feel like, how the light would enter, where each table and detail would belong.

When I found the space that would become the Amena Atelier, it felt natural and right. What once lived only in my imagination became real, in a way that surpassed everything I had envisioned.

This space represents years of intention, patience, and belief..

Why I Created Amena

Amena was born from a realisation that grew over time.

After working in the fashion industry for several years, I felt the need to move away from fast production and excessive consumption. I wanted to create with intention, care, and purpose.

I noticed how rare it was to find wedding dresses that embraced simplicity while still feeling emotional and meaningful.

That is how Amena began.

Bridalwear as a White Canvas

For me, bridalwear starts as a blank white canvas.

The base of each dress is intentionally clean and simple, creating space for what truly matters: the bride’s story. From there, details are added with purpose. Personalised laces, embroidered elements, and subtle design choices are developed to reflect her personality, interests, and the way she wants to feel.

This canvas allows creativity and craftsmanship to come together. Techniques, textures, and hand-finished details are layered carefully.

This process makes each piece personal and expressive. The dress becomes a reflection of the woman wearing it.

The atelier

The Amena Atelier is a reflection of the brand’s values.

It is a calm and intimate space where dresses are designed and developed with time and attention.

The atelier is not just where dresses are made. It is where stories begin.
