How long does it take to make a dress?

The process usually takes between 3 to 6 months, depending on the complexity of the design and the atelier's calendar.

We recommend starting the process as early as possible, as when our calendar is fully booked, we may not be able to accept additional orders.

Please contact us to check availability and begin the journey.

When do you start making the prototype?

We usually begin working on the prototype 3 to 4 months before the wedding date, allowing time for fittings while minimising the impact of weight fluctuations.

The final dress is completed around 1.5 months before the wedding.

Do you make custom dresses or do you only personalise dresses from your collection?

At Amena, every wedding dress is designed and handcrafted in our atelier.
We invite you to book an appointment to explore the full collection in person.
Using our collection as a foundation, we create a personalised dress that feels naturally tailored to you.

How does the whole process of ordering a cape/veil/top work?

For capes, veils, and tops, no fitting is required. These pieces can be ordered directly online by adding them to your cart.

If you wish to personalise any of these items, simply contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the possibilities.

What are the payment terms for dresses?

To secure your place in our calendar, we require a 50% down payment.

Please note that we can only reserve your spot once this payment is received.

The remaining balance is divided into two stages: 30% when production begins, and 20% upon final delivery.

Can I order the dress online?

No, our dresses are not available for online orders.

At Amena, each dress is made to measure, which means we personally take your measurements and guide you through the fitting process.

Only dress complements, such as capes, veils, and tops are available for direct shipping.

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship internationally to selected countries for all capes, veils, and tops.
Shipping costs and delivery times will be shown at checkout according to your location and the items in your order.

For more details, please refer to our shipping policy.

Do you make dresses for clients who live abroad?

Yes, clients living abroad can choose a dress from our collection without complex personalisation.

A minimum of three fittings is recommended when purchasing one of our dresses, which can be scheduled during your occasional visits to Portugal throughout the year.

We kindly ask you to book these in advance, so we have enough time to plan all appointments and ensure the process flows smoothly.

How much does a dress cost?

The prices you see on our website are for the collection dresses.

Each personalised dress is individually priced, depending on the level of personalisation requested.

Can I cancel or return my dress?

We only accept returns on ready-to-wear veils, capes, and tops, as these items are not made to measure.

The dresses are crafted exclusively for each bride and made to measure, so we are unable to accept cancellations or returns once the production has started.

Please learn more about this in our Returns & Refunds policy.

Do you do wedding dress alterations?

At Amena, each dress is made to measure from the very beginning.

We do not offer alterations on dresses from other brands.

Do you sell bridesmaids' dresses or guest dresses?

No, we exclusively create wedding dresses.

Where are you located?

Our atelier is located in Setúbal, Portugal.

All visits and fittings are available by appointment only.

We ship our products from Portugal, so please consider that additional custom fees may apply depending on your country. For more details, please check our Shipping Policy.
